Do Not Buy from Campers Inn
I’m was so surprised that their average rating is 3.8, on Google reviews.
I purchased a 5th wheel camper in October of 2015 and i still have manufacturer malfunctions that are still not fixed properly. The sales guys were so nice and outgoing while we were looking at 5th wheel campers. However, once we purchased the unit everything changed; our salesman (who was so nice), said he wanted my family to go camping with his family; 1 week after we purchased the unit, he did not remember my wife and while she was talking to him, he politely excused himself from her because “he needed to talk with other customers that were looking to buy a camper”. We haven’t heard from him since.
From then on, it’s been a nightmare with Campers Inn. After bringing the unit back to the dealer for repairs (multiple times), the unit sat at Campers Inn all winter (3 months). I thought this was significant time for them to repair everything that was broken when we purchased it. That was a mistake, I originally dealt with the Assistant Service Manager, who continually promised things would be fixed, which never came through; then I communicated with Service Manager, who again promised me the world and never came to light. Thinking that the General Manager (Greg Kleczkowski) would want to know how his staff treated his customers, I began to carbon copy him in the e-mail trail. He never even replied or communicated at all. I finally contacted the parent company in North Carolina; they were nice, but all they did was contact Campers Inn in Kingston and tell them to contact me, which never happened. I could go on and on with stories that I have had, but after a while, you just let things go and I end up fixing things myself. As it stands now, we are waiting to have our microwave fixed, which surged due to a converter problem, which they replaced the converter/inverter and has since ruined our TV, and microwave; our screen doors Hinges has been fixed 4 times times, each time they just bore a bigger hole in the door and put a larger screw which has not helped. We have friends and family that all have similar stories.
After the converter/inverter blew up (literally, smoke was billowing out of the compartment where the converter/inverter is stored), which surged the microwave and TV (the TV also had smoke billowing out of it) in 2018, my wife called the "Warranty Department"; a girl by the name of Shelley helped us and has been very helpful to us.
After writing a Google review about Campers Inn about 2 weeks ago, while simultaneously e-mailing Campers Inn regarding problems, Greg e-mailed me indicating that he was told by the "old Service Manager" (Mike) that everything was resolved in 2016. Greg did put me in touch with the current Service Manager (Chris Roy) who has been helpful, but has not gotten anything fixed yet. They have a contractor, On-Site RV Repair, (Steve is the owner; Sean is his employee and son), who has gone to the campground that we keep our camper at and every time they fix something, either it's not fixed properly, they are careless, or they break something else while fixing another problem. Chris was not happy about my Google review; this is what he e-mailed me regarding the Google review: " As a side note, I have been with Campers Inn 24 years now, I was not here when you bought this trailer and had the issues, but my first 19 years were here, then I bounced around New England helping our other stores . I replaced the 2 people that did not follow through, and I take pride in my department. I will help remedy all the issues, but I have a question. The Google review (I check every morning to see if I can help situations that are going south in all 4 New England stores), I was surprised by. I have never spoke to you and I do not think you ever asked to speak to me, so I would ask if you could amend the review once this is all taken care of. I cannot fix the past, but only help the future." I responded by saying, "As far as your side note, all I would like from you is to put yourself in my shoes. This type of disparate action has been going on since October 2015. I get that you have been there for 24 years; but, how am I to know that you took over the position of Service Manager. When a customer cannot even get a response from the General Manager, why do you think the customer would continually try to reach his subordinates? Shelley is the only employee that has taken the time to help us and follow through. I don’t think it is my responsibility to check every so often to see if there is a new Manager. Mike was the Manager when everyone stopped retuning our calls. Mike, Greg, Nikki, Steve, and Sean represent Campers Inn and as far as I’m concerned, they failed. I’m glad that you are there now; and, I look forward to finally resolving all of our issues. I only wrote the review after having multiple negative interactions with Campers Inn, which is whom I rated, not you personally. Please consider that all of these issues most recently could have been easily controlled, just by your staff/contractors taking pride in their work as you do. It’s not fair and I think your customers should know. The smokescreen from the salesmen treating customers great, until they purchase a RV is just the tip of the ice berg and does not sit well with me. I have a large family; in fact, we camp during the summer and winter with 7 other families, many of them that also purchased RV’s from Campers Inn of Kingston and Campers Inn of Merrimack before we all learned how Campers Inn treats their customers, who control Campers Inn’s livelihood. We each have our own “war” stories about your organization. In fact, my in-laws just had to drive back from Virginia without their 5th wheel because for the third time, an axle malfunctioned while towing. The closest RV service station was Camping World, which hopefully will fix the problem once and for all. All three times a tire broke off the axle and rolled across a highway and/or an off ramp. Thank god no one was hurt in any of the incidents, but for the grace of god. I have other stories that you would not even believe!!! The bottom line is that I really don’t care how long you’ve worked for Campers Inn because it is not just one person that can make or break my trust; this entire thing was handled incorrectly, by almost everyone from Campers Inn that has been involved up until you. Starting from Greg and down the ranks, the service has been nothing but poor. I would be happy amend my review, when I can honestly write an amendment that is different from the three and a half years that I have been dealing with Campers Inn."
After I posted my Google Review, I received a response from “response from the owner”, which indicated for me to contact the We care Department in NC (the parent company), I called the telephone number that was provided; when I called the girl that answered (possibly an answering service) took my cell phone number and stated that someone would get back to me. To date, 6 days later, I have not had a return call.
Don’t let the salesmen fool you, Campers Inn is a horrible company!

Stay away from Campers Inn in Mocksville the finance manager is a *** and will hang up on you before helping you out. The service department is backed up and takes a few weeks before I can bring it in and a few more weeks for them to look at it. Warranty isn't worth anything if you can't get service to fix things never ever again will I buy their.

Very Disappointed
VERY DISAPPOINTED - June 2019
My wife and I recently purchased a used 5th wheel and had hoped we could trust Camper’s Inn Service Department to inspect and repair anything on the RV, unfortunately we were wrong. When we left the RV, we expressed that we wanted them to take their time and not rush with the inspection and any repairs needed.
The service writer Kyle notified us of several things that were found wrong with the RV and we agreed to have them fixed. After two weeks Kyle contacted us that the RV was ready so we went to pick it up the next day. We performed a walk through with another service writer since Kyle was off that day and saw several items that we not done as we were told they had been. After waiting 2 hours for them to attempt to get some of the items done, we took the RV home.
After looking over the RV more we found additional items that were not fixed and even found things that were damaged while at Camper’s Inn. We contacted Kyle to discuss the problems with the RV that were not repaired including the damages to the RV. We asked him specifically about several of the items we requested to get fixed, he said it had been done, but it had not. Camper’s Inn’s solution to the situation was to bring it back at our expense and they would do what they were supposed to do to begin with, what was already paid for.
Our concern is if they could not do it right the first time what is to ensure us it will be done right the second time. Also contacted management about the issues and the lack of concern/care from them is one other reason why we will not take our RV back to Camper’s Inn. We have lost a great deal of money by using Camper’s Inn and by trusting they had integrity. We were taken advantage of by trusting what seemed to be a trustworthy service department at Camper’s Inn.
As an Air Force Veteran family, we had hoped to make Camper’s Inn of Middle Ga a place we could count on for our future RV needs, but we were wrong. We are leaving this review to make others aware of the lack of customer service, poor workmanship and lack of caring by Camper’s Inn’s employees and management.
I strongly recommend that the owners of Camper’s Inn evaluate their staff and remove those who lie or mis-lead customers. Hopefully this will prevent someone else from being taken advantage of by Camper’s Inn, Byron.
