Received a lemon

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Paid $211,000.00 cash for my Air stream Interstate 2024 19 RV delivered. It arrived this past December with multiple defects, could not use it at all. After 6 weeks in for repairs, we finally got it back. Tried to arrange for some form of compensation ie exchange, refund, rebate none at all. Contacted BBB lodged my complaint. It was accepted. No response from Campers Inn Rv to this day. Buyer beware of this bunch.

Hi Robert, We are very sorry about your experience. Campers inn had replied to your BBB complaint and it was closed out by them as well as several conversations with our management team to try and resolve this for you.

It is our understanding that you have taken your RV to Optimum RV to address the issues that you are having with your camper and if they are unable to help we suggest reaching out to the maniufacturer s they are the ones that built it.

At this time we have done everything according to manufacturer guidelines. If you are in need of further assistance please contact us at any time.

Bad Customer Service Broken Glass

Campers Inn - Bad Customer Service Broken Glass

We purchased an Airstream from campers inn about two weeks ago. We have not camped in this used airstream yet but my husband cleaned and walbernizing the unit found a pile of broken glass and a window not properly in the tracks.

This window had clearly been broken and replaced by the previous owners and was left a mess with water leaking down to the floor. We also found out that they did not clean out the tanks. My husband had to clean out another persons fesces from the gray and black water tanks.

The store is refusing to take care of this and the broken glass could have injured one of my children or dogs. Unacceptable behavior from a "family owned business".

Very dissatisfied

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Had my motorhome there on several occasions for leaking jack after hundreds of dollars for repair still had issue. Their service dept is terrible.

Too many horror stories to share but I will never go to them again. I was told my slides were not working(they worked when I dropped them off). After having it for a month they hardwired the slides because I had a trip planned. Dropped it off again and after a month, many phone calls and going to corporate they told me they had spent many hours tracing the wiring and could not find anything.

Finally they determined it was a fuse! Wouldnt you think a reputable service tech would check the fuses first. This is just a small sample of what I felt with. Also never a call from them.

Left messages and no call backs only time I got any answers was when I made the 20 minute drive to them. Location is Toms River, nj

Shady negotiations

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Saw a class B that we were interested in buying. Talked to Steve about paying cash. Steve informed us that the advertised list price is based on a loan and not cash. Therefore, he added $5000 to the sale price since we were paying cash. We called him out and showed him the listed price on the internet. He said that he's sure there's a disclaimer somewhere that states the cost would be more. I called him out, and he changed the subject, so I walked out without saying a word.

Sales manager used F word AT customer

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have a Campers Inn within 10 miles of my house. I found the vehicle that I wanted but it was located 1000 miles away, in the Selma North Carolina office.

We made a deal on my trade, but they would not let me bring it to the facility 10 miles from my house. They wanted me to drive 1000 miles to deliver it to them, so I agreed. They then wanted me to come earlier than my appointment time so they could review my trade-in. I was there two hours early and they took my trade to inspect, but would not let me see my vehicle I planned to purchase because they were cleaning it.

I told them I just wanted a quick look, but they refused. The sales manager, then came over to me, but he did not introduce himself, and I did not know what his position was. He told me that I would have to wait and then use the F word with me because I complain that I accommodated them by driving and I accommodated them by coming early.

Pretty inexcusable. He never apologized.

Purchase

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Contacted dealership for purchase of new travel trailer. Filled out the trade in evaluation form on our 2018 travel trailer. When I was contacted again they wanted to give me $10,500 trade in on a camper that has an NADA value of $23,000. Then they want to add their piece of mind delivery of the new camper to the tune of $1500. Of course they also want full retail on their camper. Nothing but thieves praying on unsuspecting people. Sorry Campers Inn I will be sharing this with everyone who will listen at campgrounds. And I visit many. REDICULOUS. Avoid this dealership at all cost.

Bought a brand new camper. Used it 5 days. Took it back due to problems. Over 30 issues wrong. Asked for a full refund. They refused. They have had it 5 months And we still dont have it back. They have screwed us over so bad that I never want to camp again. It has been 1 bad thing after another and no one at their company will take responsibility. We bought a new truck to pull this camper, prepaid a seasonal campsite, bought a golf cart and a shed for this campsite that we have used 5 times. We are out about $100,000. They have succeeded in destroying us.

Disgusting sales person, Blake, refused to show us an RV because he didn't think we could afford it

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My spouse and in-laws went to Campers Inn RV in Jacksonville because we are thinking about selling our RV and buying a new one. We had just come from Campers world RV and had a fun experience getting ideas/debating on which class we want to go with.

The sales persons were nice and helpful. Then we meet Blake at Campers Inn. He refused to get off his golf cart and unlock the one RV we asked to see. He instead told us (multiple times throughout the conversation) that they closed in 30 minutes and the price of the RV we asked to see.

We said okay - were excited to see inside! He then asked what our budget was. We said we were still debating that ourselves, but open and flexible at this point. He again mentioned the price of the vehicle and then said he didnt want to show it to us if there was no point based on our finances and that he didnt want us to get it dirty for no reason.

My father was doing a great job of holding on to his patience and said okay Ill take off my shoes if you would like. Blake continued to sit there on his cart and asked again if it was in our range because yeah we have to clean them like once a week. I said then you can clean it next week I get it - do you have the key? He said yeah but just continued to sit there and look at us with an attitude so my spouse said lets just go we dont want to spend our money here.

Blake responded with Great thank you! And drove off. I repeated this conversation to Manager Steve Galvin who responded by saying well it is good to have an idea of someones budget.

We understand that but when Blake mentioned the price the 1st time and we said ok then that should have been it. But in essence Blake refused to accept any of our responses of and denied us basic sales service!

After signing a contract to buy an RV at the Myrtle Beach RV show, Daniel called us 4 weeks later to tells he had to increase the price. When we said we would not buy if they wouldnt honor the contract, he tried to bully us into buying one off of the lot. They refuse to refund our money even though they would not honor the contract we signed. Stay away! Campers inn and Daniel are shady and crooks.

The Camper's Inn in Raleigh, NC is a terrible, terrible company. They took 9 months to get us a correct title and tag. Our unit has been in for the same warranty repairs 3 times and has sat on their lot for over 6 months. Repairs are still not completed, no one will call us back or answer our emails. We love our Tiffin, but they need to get rid of these clowns.

Bought a leftover 2019 Columbus 383fb in Dec 2020. Unit was delivered to our permanent campsite 6/3/21. Unit was paid infull 12/20. During the sales period I mentioned we would not be bringing the unit back for service once they delivered it. The salesman thought we could work something out if it was necessary. AC leaked Thru return vent, improperly seated!
